Innovation process occur over time and are influenced by many factors. Because of this complexity, firms almost never innovate in isolation, but interact with other organizations to gain, develop, and exchange various kinds of knowledge, information and other resources. These interactions among organizations operating in different institutional contexts are important for innovation process.
